Laleh Bakhtiar is the first American and the first woman to translate the Holy Qur’an into English.  She has translated and written more than 150 books on Islam, including Qur’anic psychology, commentaries, critical thinking and Sufism. She has also co-authored numerous biographical works. Her translation of the Quran is called the Sublime Quran and was published in 2007.  Her works strive to create understanding between non-Muslims and Muslim’s perspectives of Islam.
