Linda Sarsour

Linda Sarsour is an American political activist and media commentator. She was co-chair in 2017 Women’s March, the Day Without a Woman 2017, and the 2019 Women’s March. She fought to get the most important Muslim holidays recognized in New York Public Schools. Sarsour is also the former executive director of the Arab American Association of New York. Among other things, she is involved in civil rights issues such as feminism, police brutality, mass incarceration and immigration policy. She also organized Black Lives Matter demonstrations and was the lead petitioner in challenging the legality of Trump travel ban.

 Her Women’s March co-chairs were profiled in Time magazine’ 100 Most Influential People in 2017.
