Rida Al Tubuly is a Libyan activist and a pharmacologist.
She is the promoter of peace and an activist for gender equality from a warzone.
She has campaigned to implement UN Security Council Resolution. The Resolution focused on women’s security and peace.
She is the founder of the movement, Together We Build It; the aim of which is to push for women’s involvement in solving Libya’s conflict.
She has encouraged women to be more involved with decision making and also supporting them in running for office. On many occasions she has questioned why the United Nations have not involved Libyan women in peace talks, when women have suffered considerably during the war.
She has also discussed how war has impacted women’s and girl’s freedom of movement and access to education.
In 2019 Al Tabuly was selected as one of the BBC 100 most influential Women.
