SADIA BASHIR: Computer Scientist, Game developer & entrepreneur

Sadia Bashir is the founder of Pixel Art Games Academy (PGA), the first gaming academy of Pakistan.

PGA is a training academy that teaches game development, design and production with art and animation through a collaborative learning experience.

Her success has inspired women in Pakistan to dream bigger.

She has been awarded by “Women Can Do” and the U.S. Embassy at the Women Entrepreneurs Summit in 2016 for her accomplishments.

She has established a Game Lab at her institute to help developers implement their creative ideas. The mission of the academy is to bridge the gap between industry demand and education by providing training in game programming and digital art.

Her program attempts to address the significant gender gap in the gaming industry by maintaining a minimum 33% ratio of women.

She has also created scholarships for women who want to learn video game development in her academy.

Bashir has been listed as Forbes 30 under 30 in Enterprise technology 2018. She has also been recognized as a Global Gaming Citizen at The Game Awards by 2018 Facebook Gaming.
